Church, sitting second aisle on the right. Using computer, getting an open signal, use data to find the location of a buried treasure. There is a letter within discussing a battle that is being waged against some other corporation. This involves an auction. Large sums of money being thrown around.

One salvage company going deep underwater, finding wreck of a huge project. Discovers a huge unhealthy obsession with the place. There has been dozens of projects in the same place that always result in failure and death. All the ships down there carry the logo and emblem of a food company? What's going on?

Internet Kids.

I just realized that there are kids out there that have had the internet their whole lives. I realize that I'm not that old, but I still remember my first connection to the internet in 1995-6. I was somewhat prepared for it all. It just blows my mind that 1998 was ten years ago and I'm now 21.

Ugh.

The idea of Internet kids scares me because I know what exists on the internet. It can be extremely unhealthy and scary to have a faceless group of people shape your early years. I know because I've gone through something similar.

Also, respect ++ on the Dalai Lama
I am glad that the current Dalai Lama has said that his 'reincarnation' will be democratically chosen by the people, rather than having monks go out to 'see' the reincarnate. I've also learned that the Dalai Lama actually doesn't hold any real power. I mean, he can give suggestions to people, but they're not obligated to follow.

Now, there are still a couple more things I'm angry about.
1) People questioning legitimacy of  China's Sovereignty of Tibet

- China annexed Tibet in a 'war' in 1949. Obviously they won, so what's the problem? What the heck is a legitimate sovereignty anyway when a conflict is involved? There will always be people bitching at the new government.

2) People using supporting the riots/protest because they dislike China.

- These are the ones who are automatically against China on this situation because they hate China. That's bullshit. They should take an effort to try to understand what is happening.

Tibet

So, there has been some nasty thing happening in Tibet for a while with the protests and riots.

People seem quick to point the finger at China, saying they're an evil entity focused solely on evil. That's not really entirely true and I believe that both sides are at fault.

First of all, there is the misconception that the protests are peaceful. They are not. There have been civilian deaths (against Chinese storeowners?) and massive destruction of properties.

Secondly, China sending in the military is completely justified in this circumstance. The protesters lost all of their 'civil rights' the moment they stopped being 'civil' (which is when they began using force.)

I'm not saying that China doesn't have a history of bad human rights.They're absolutely horrible... but there really isn't any other option in this situation. China can't/will never let Tibet go. This is pretty much a fact (along with Taiwan). The sooner people realize this, the better.

Another rant...
I think the whole Dalai Lama reincarnation thing is retarded to begin with. Why would any civilized Westerners allow such a stupid concept to exist? Is there anyone out there who believes in this bullshit?
I mean, if I started a religion where I am the supreme owner and ruler, does it mean I have special rights in my house? No.  Tibet lost their government and they should get over it.Using their religion to cover it up is just bullshit cheap sympathy gathering tactic.

It was because of a really stupid reason too.

By stupid, I mean I didn't notice one thing that cost me the exam... within the first three minutes.

It made the rest of the examination really awkward because we both already knew I failed.

Sick and Sad again?

1) XPS has arrived. Very beautiful. Very fast.

2) I am sick with some kind of demonic virus which has caused me to feel very cold, my head feeling very heavy, and my forehead very warm. Going to try to sleep it off;

3) I am bored of WoW, ready to move on.

I'm not talking about skin colour, but I am talking about withdrawing from technology.

I find it increasingly disturbing that every aspect of my life is dominated with time-consuming technology, so I am taking a short break from it all (except for the times when I need to do work).

I wonder how much I can accomplish without this drain on time, so this is just a testing ground.

You won't see me on MSN again for a while. I might write some more engaging and whatever posts though. It all really depends on how this will work out..

PS. I have a strong urge to learn how to play piano/keyboard. Will probably buy a <100$ starter one. I feel like I need some form of musical expression.

One Certain Fact

I think I am retarded, in the true sense of the word.

Since the beginning of last week, I've switched my primary vehicle use to the 2001 Blue Jetta, and I've been having some trouble. I've gotten so used to my 2008 SX4's keyless entry, that I waste valuable seconds trying to turn on my car without the key. Sometimes

Normally, I would have the key in my pocket, and that'd be fine. I would actually put the key in an inconvenient pocket so that it wouldn't fall off accidentally, or something.

I used to think that this 'keyless' entry was just a bullet point in the design of the vehicle, but now I know that it is one of the more important convenient factors.

Internet Superstar sucks

Dear Martin,

I've watched every single post-techtv show of yours (infected, webdrifter, internet superstar), and i believe that this last one with Andy Milonakis has jumped the shark.That guy had nothing to offer the show, and it is pretty much clear that anything on MTV is retarded.

I understand the need for you to change the format of a dying show, but this new format seems way too artificial. In the early infected episodes, it was still possible to 'imagine' that the podcast was produced by a bunch of friends and that the conversations are real, but this is way too artificial and it is clear that everything is written and scripted. The set is way too detailed when it doesn't need to be.  Maybe you should stick to pure-audio podcasts.

PS. Gator is the best. Maybe he should ditch your lame ass and start his own show.
re: dancing with the internet stars, I vote for guy number 1, with the invisible attackers. Gator shows up a close second.

Getting my things together: Part 1

Well, I've just received my passport, and now I'm finally registered for my class 5 road exam.

The date is going to be March 20th, at 12:45pm

It feels like I'm finally making some progress... before that terrible thing happens.

lt feels like something bad is about to happen

I can't shake this feeling. Not based on anything, but something big is going to happen this month.

Time to kick it up a notch.

Let's get serious here. I need to do more work and play less games. Priorities need to be shifted.

I think it is time.

So, my Grandma passed away last night.

Not this one, but the one in China on my father's side. I've seen her three times… maybe.

This would be the first time that a 'blood' relative has died that I know. Hm. She was ninety-one years young and spent the last couple of weeks apparently in an ever painful state. There could have been ways to extend her life a bit longer, but she ultimately decided it was time to face the end.

As a result, both my parents are leaving tonight and they`re going to deal with some of the business. My dad will return early April, while my mom has to do some actual legal business until mid-April.

To save money, I`m actually going to retire my 6-month old car, and I will be using one of the other three vehicles left here.

 

In other news, I'm sooooooo close to getting my epic mount in WoW. A couple more days ^_^ I can`t wait!
