Finally, I am free to do stuff again without the restraint of the awfulness
The internet is a massive timesink, and I must find a way to go around it.
Seriously, I spend way too much time not working because I spend way too much time fooling around with one website in particular.

My calender
I don't know why I'm so tired.
Right now, it has been about 15 hours since I woke up.
I think it has to do with the school calender, and school in general.
I have 6 (real) classes this semester, and they're all mining related.
You know how I said that second year of mining was a joke? Well, compared to this, it was a joke.
I've pretty much learned more in the last two days than half a semester last year.
Basically, this is good and not good.

Excited to be back.
I am rather stoked about coming back to UBC. It has been a long 8 months. I doubt many things would have changed, but this is rather significant for me. This has been officially the longest time I have been without school since... Grade 7?
I have had summer school in every one of my summers since grade 7. (ed: This is not true. After grade 12, I had a three month break, essentially.)
Anyway, I'm just worried about not being able to fit into the school cycle again.
That's why the first week of class is generally brainless... it has been designed for people getting back into schooling gear.

Dumb Luck, dntel
Just don't forget
that it's dumb luck that got you here
don't fool yourself
misfortunes waiting for the best time to appear
to make it clear
that all the courage and the talent that you had
was just in dreams
and when you wake up
you will beg to get it back
to get it back
You can't trust your friends
they will betray you
with the love that's blinding
and then at the end they may admit
that you were missing something
and no one remembers even one word that left your mouth
all the melodies were stolen
from songs by someone else
you're out of time
and inspiration filled with self-pity and fear
and all the dreams that haven't dried up
are slowly drowning in your tears
in your tears
Just don't forget
that it's dumb luck that got you here
don't fool yourself

New Year Resolutions
are bullshit. They aren't anything special, except that people like to delay changes to their lives to an arbitrary date to begin.
I mean, I hear that some people want to start 'diets' on the new year as their resolution. This just translates into "I don't want to start right now, so I'll put it off to a later date."
People. If you want to change yourself, to self improve, you should do it now. Don't make bullshit excuses like "I'll start next week." Will you even remember next week?
That being said, these are some of the things I want accomplished.
1) Commit at least 200 words per day creatively.
2) Something to do with healthier lifestyle (I'll start on Jan 7th, that being the new school term.)
3) Make billions of dollars via a semi-legit method.
4) Brog more.

"Cameras don't work in dreams."
I have been playing a lot of God of War... great game, really!
The main character is a blood-thirsty spartan. You fight the forces of evil from Ares, the god of War.
What I love most is that it uses the myths of the Olympia and translates it into a 'realistic' game world. Brilliant.
It feels really epic when I play it. The scope of the battle and the environment is huge. One of the best games I have played in a while. God of War 2 is my project right now.
World of Warcraft. I finally reached level 60 on my troll hunter. I feel empty inside whenever I play the game. It is just a huge time-sink.
Been playing a lot of Folding @ Home on the PS3... well, not really playing. I feel like it is important that I cure Cancer before I get Cancer, because I am pretty sure that the rate of Cancer is getting higher in terms of people of our generation being exposed to all these electronics.
Top quote: It was what a guy said to me on the streets right after I witness two // three huge car explosions. When I drove by, I saw two cars on opposite sides of the rode with fumes coming out of the trunk. after I was about half a block away, one of them exploded. I slowed down, thinking 'holy shit' and whatever. Then, I heard sirens. I checked my mirrors and as I was about to pull over, I saw that the ambulance was on the lane to my right (so I just slowed down to a crawl.) It made a u-turn right in front of me. When it was a couple of seconds away, it exploded. from the fuel side.
At that instant, I realized that the entire thing was no accident. Ambulances don't just explode during emergencies... right? I was about to make a u-turn, grab my camera, and start taking pictures when this guy on the streets started to converse with me.
"What happened?", he asked.
"I think there's been an attack. There were two cars burning a block back, and then this ambulance just exploded."
"What? What caused it?"
"I'm sure there was an explosive on the ambulance."
"Maybe they were trying to use the ____ while the _____ was jammed." (note: It was something that made sense when I heard it. It was a semi-rational explanation.)
"Going back to check it out. Take some pictures."
"Cameras don't work in dreams, mate."
"What?" I was angry at that suggestion. Part of me refuses to accept this fact. I hastily returned to the scene. Fire. Wreckage. Not a lot of people in terms of crowds. Sirens.
I took out my camera phone. I tried taking some videos, but the screen went blue.
Eventually, I figured it out and the dream stopped.
