New LCD Monitor
A suprise came in the mail today in the form of a new LCD monitor from Dell. This was a huge suprise for me because my original order from Dell was cancelled on their end over two weeks ago. All of a sudden, it just came yesterday.
The best part of the thing, aside from the hugeness of the screen, is that when I connect my notebook to it, the framerate for games massively improve. I'm talking about 10-20 extra frames per second.

A week home.
It has been a week since I came home, and I feel really lazy.
Sure, things have been cool and it has been nice seeing my family again, but I think I'm ready to leave. At the rate I'm wasting my money, I shouldn't stay.
So, I'm most likely going to leave on the 7th of September in my new car. I'm essentially completely free until then. If anyone wants to meet up, just say the word. Mmmkay?

My Car. Suzuki SX4 2008
After about two hours of intense negotiation and what-not, we ended up purchasing this car. I like it, and I think that's what matters.

The Story that never happened. Pt1x
Here are several details that would have enriched part one. They would have gone into the actual story, but I missed them in the summary. Some of this stuff is vital for future parts.
- Nobody knows what The Place is. There are speculations, though. Since the place seems to foster unique superhuman abilities, some believe it is mystical in nature (ie, some kind of buddist-zen-heaven-afterlife-place for meditation away from the worldly posessions, or a 'limbo'ish place where people wait between reincarnations.). Others believe it is all a scientific experiment from aliens. Yet others believe it is a place to from God.
- Super human abilities start to develop during the first three weeks. Abilities differ from person to person. This can vary from increased physical endurance to enhanced senses to telepathy. Most of these seem to be 'passive' involuntary abilities.
- The Protagonist has been having nightmares of his friends and family calling for him. He feels sad and longs for them.
- Neither the Protagonist nor the Love Interest seem to have developed any new abilities.
- Word of mouth suggests that the Place has been occupied for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. This is not verifiable since the longest a person can stay is four months.
- The population of the Place is fewer than three hundred. There is evidence of another civilization, but there are no indications of any intelligent life. Normal Earth animals are around though.
- People can still be injured. Deaths have occured since the Protagonist came.
- Dead people's bodies disappear when nobody is observing them. (Quantum Locked, lole.)
- People who stay in the Place too long eventually go into a coma-sleep. These patients don't have a way of feeding themselves, and they eventually die.
- Food comes solely from vegetation. There is a fruit can taste like any food imaginable. If you are thinking about a cheeseburger before eating it, then it'll taste like a cheeseburger. In fact, this is the only non-Earthly life in the whole Place.
- The area surrounding the Camp is mostly unexplored by current inhabitants. People like to stay together in the camp where everything is provided.
- Protagonist had no idea how he got there. He was just living his life, and then Bam! He awakens in an opened 'coffin' drugged, groggy, and in pain. He blacks out and awakens at camp.
Last we left off, the Protagonist willingly sacrificed himself for his Romantic Interest by going into the coffin-transportation device. The conditions of The Place slowly returns to normal.

PS. I can't do anything on the 23rd. My parents strongly wants me to eat my first dinner at home with the rest of the family.
Back for Good (but not really)
One of the first things I noticed was the insane drivers back in Richmond. Everything just seems to be driving so quickly and so dangerously close together. My reasoning for this is that everything is so close together in the city compared to the wide open space of Tumbler.
It is good to be back, but I know that I'll have to leave again, and that makes me sad.
PS. I have to rethink the whole sushi thing.

84 hours left before I get back.
I went to work today and it was one of the most boring and pointless days ever.
In the twelve hours I was there, I did about three hours of actual work. The rest of the time was waiting for some bulldozer cleanup of a blast pattern. Ugh.
Still, I guess I can't complain about getting paid for not really doing anything.

The Story that never happened. Pt1
This is the story that never happened. I don't exactly know why I never got around to writing this during the Summer. I tried to start on two separate occasion and got a couple of pages, but I stopped.
Here is the main points of the story.
1) Protagonist wakes up delirious in a strange Earth-like Forest-Place occupied by other individuals. (Cliche)
2) Protagonist shortly blacks out and wakes up in the camp.
2) Place is laws-of-physics defying, with strange and impossible things happening. (Cliche)
3) Place has a strange rule where people only stay for ~90 days before they disappear. New people arrive to replace the ones gone.
4) People learn and gain new super-human abilities such as telepathy or telekin. (Cliche)
-
Now, the day that the Protagonist arrives is unique because only one person went missing and two persons arrived. The other person quickly becomes the Romantic Interest. That day also marks the day that people stop arriving. This story is set in the 90 or so days that the Protagonist remains. Strange, apocalyptic things begin to occur.
---
5) Most people are content just waiting until the 90 days are over.
6) Protagonist and Romantic Interest ventures outside of the camp to discover secrets against wishes of the Leader.
7) They discover the place where they arrived. It is a ruin filled with strange coffins.
8) People placed in the coffin disappear, and new people arrive. The Elder supervises this.
9) Apocalyptic things continue to occur. Wild climate changes occur. Food no longer magically appear. People become roudy and Elder uses the two as scapegoats. They argue that this had never happened before the two arrived. The Protagonist is convinced something is 'screwed up' and that it'll be solved if one of the two goes into the coffin.
10) Protagonist and Romantic Interest finds out they're to be forcibly placed into the coffins to go into the 'next life' overmorrow. Protagonist chooses to sacrifice himself by volunteering to go first.
11) Protagonist reflects upon his first ~33 days in this place.
~End of Part 1
I lied. The reason why I stopped was because the story is so derivative; the characterization was so mundane and two dimensional; and the writing sucked. I couldn't stand looking at the words on the screen. Ugh.
Working OT so I can pay for stuff.
This is nearing the end.
The shit from the shit-fan is finally coming off of the wallsI have 107 shit-hours remaining before I get on the shit-o-plane escaping the Tumbler Shit.
So, while I'm here, I'll try to make the best of things and earn as much money as I can, so I can waste the money on 600 dollar phones, etc.
In the meanwhile, I still have to do laundry one more time, and do some extra apartment cleaning work before I leave.
PS: All this shit-talk is only funny when Lahey does it. I realize this now.

The stars are aligning.
There were two things I had to do and have been wanting to do, but they were both solved without my involvement this week.
Much thanks to Daniel, and that jerk at UBC.
I now have an apartment at elkford, and I don't have to send an email to said jerk ever again.
Next week at this time, I'll be gone.
Five more working days.

Trailer Park Boys is cool.
I watched the first three seasons and it has been a pretty cool show. I want to be just like those guys because they're totally cool.
These are the things that I'm going to (probably) do because I watch the show.
1) Grow Marijuana and sell it to prison guards.
2) Always have a cup of rum and coke in my hand.
3) Purposely confuse words and phrases. (What is this, the Danish Inquisition?)
4) Go to prison (cause it is a pretty cool place.)

Notebook back, Pink DSLite, Coming back on the 23rd.
After about 17 days without a computer, I have it back. I think I miss my music collection the most. There are just certain songs that I want to listen to at certain times.
I gave in and went to Walmart to purchase my DSLite. It is pink and it is manly in my opinion. If you think otherwise, you're wrong.
The 22nd is my last day of work. My flight from Fort Saint John is at ~9:30am and is arriving just shy of noon. This means I'll have to leave at around 6 or 6:30 for the drive there. oy.

HP7: meh
I finished the book last night, and I am neither excited for the ending, nor disappointed.
There were good parts in the book, but there is a huge suspension of disbelief. Potter escaped both the Ministry and the Snape house. It seemed to be not too difficult. Why is it that the Order of the Phoenix is unable to do similar feats against Voldemort. I mean, if three kids were able to thwart and disarm that many, how is it that the order is unable to just finish the death eaters?
=(

Harry Potter and the
suckitude.
I'm about 80 pages into it and I feel a disconnect to the whole story. Maybe it is because it has been too long since I read the last books, but I'm having trouble remembering a third of the characters, and therefore I don't really care what happens to them.
Today is Friday.
Eleven more work days left.
01 August 2007
After today, I have 13 more days of work.
I'm excluding weekends and holiday.
I feel so tired. I'm tired of this. This is my tenth straight day of working. Ugh.
Through various conversations, I have to now buy a Pink DS lite. I'm not a coward and am a person of my word.
