New Year's Eve

The first half of the Christmas break is over. My school resumes on the 9th of January.

There are things that annoyed me about today:

1) The lack of a plan. Listen, even Cylons had a plan. Even though their plan does not make sense at all, they had a plan at all. You're not Ronald D. Moore, and I shouldn't have trusted you like him. I put my faith in you that you had a plan. What plan? There was no plan. The plan of having a plan by Sunday is not a plan. You're awful. I wish the pox on you.

2)The lack of communication. People, we live in a wired world. There are a dozen way to communicate from person to person [1) phone. 2) E-mails. 3) Instant Message 4) Text Message. 5) uh... I guess there are like four ways in reality.] Why don't people pass along information to each other? For example, Bread has all this huge secret of information, but he neglected to pass anything along. Chris was being an asshole and decided to not tell anyone anything. Fuck you, Chris.

3) New Years is meaningless. Why celebrate it at all? I guess people are desperate enough to use any excuse to get disorderly drunk that they'd do anything to have fun. GG.

4) Pessimism and Cynicism. Good grief, stop whining about how your life sucks and do something about it. It is your life, nobody else is going to stop and make you feel better.

5) I miss Terrence.

I've been carefully making sure that my downloads don't exceed 20GB per month for like a year now. After a quick check with Shaw's TOS, I found out that it is now 60GB.

Shit. How much file have I NOT been downloading?

I was totally reading a guide on the effective way of raising a pokemon.
That's the silly part. I spent probably a good two hours checking the formulas of the game (It doesn't matter when you evolve your pokemon, lawl) and how the stats are derived.

And in the end, I just realized that it doesn't matter. I'm not playing with anyone.

Today, at 5:22am

The plumbing in the heater room had a small burst, and the containment for the water failed. Water was leaking through the small hole all inside the room.

Its funny, that after one and a half years of Engineering and years of playing as plumbing brothers, that I can't find the valve which shuts off the water. Instead, I had to drain all the water out through a faucet.

This happened at 5:22am, and I feel great.

My sister, (the one whom I had to do all the essay editing) got into Oxford Business (The one in Europe?)

I guess I'm happy for her, but I don't know if it is the right thing to do to move there, you know?

Immediately after coming home, I played some Gears of War. I finished Act 2 now, and I'm taking a break. I looked at Joe's gamerscore and he hasn't even beaten the first one. I wonder when I can co-op with him.

EOSC 324 - 2006/12/06 WEDNESDAY 15:30 2 - Pretty sure I failed that one. Good thing it was only worth 35% of the grade. Oh shi- I failed the midterm too! 46% on that!
MINE 290 - 2006/12/07 THURSDAY 12:00 2.5 -Best exam ever! There's a possible 125/100. 25% bonus marks possible? Heck yeah.
MATH 253 - 2006/12/08 FRIDAY 08:30 2.5 - I think I did average on this.
MECH 260 - 2006/12/13 WEDNESDAY 08:30 2.5 Burned out after a day. Oh boy. I think I knew all of the answers. I'm not sure they're correct though. I will pass for sure.
STAT 251 - 2006/12/14 THURSDAY 08:30 2.5 - I was tired and doing some last-minute studying.Again, I forget the term (help Gladys?). I ended up sleeping at 1:30ish am, and I woke up at 5:30am to study again. 8:30 exams suck. I'm glad this is almost all over.

I must be in some kind of weird state.

Yesterday night, I isolated myself inside my own room in an attempt to block all outside transmissions and hallucinations. I ended up reading my whole laboratory book for my upcoming exam. That's great, except that I wasted a good three hours reading The Notebook.

I must be in a pretty sad state to get away from Studying by READING A BOOK. Good grief!

Yeah, I re-read the book and it is a great book. I gained some further insights which I must have missed the first time. The story is logically made and has a good resolution (except the final part).

Shit, I'm retarded.

I just realized that Eragon = Dragon, swapping an "e" with a "d".

This makes me feel bad for not seeing it earlier.

I've been twiddling with an idea.

The idea is really neat. It is so neat that revealing it to everyone will drastically reduce its neatness.

There was a highly acclaimed director/producer, and what I was watching was his debut film.

I don't even know where to begin.

There's this black guy, right? He is the main character. He is the standard stereotypical black guy who is targeted by individuals because of the color of his skin.

Anyway, the movie sucked and there was a standing ovation for it.

The weird thing was that it felt more like a documentary with comments from various people discussing the film. It might be one of those "films within a film", which is satirizing the industry.

Five hours.

I spent five hours today after my midterm (which was alright, except for the part where everyone was discussing it, and I completely didn't recall the question everyone else was doing.) on this stupid router that I got from Best Buy.

Its wireless, so that's good.

I configured it to be a wireless bridge and I'm going to put it upstairs near my television in anticipation for my Xbox 360 to arrive. In addition, this also means that my house would be more-wired (or less wired, I don't really know.) and that I can even access the wifi while in the can.

What do they call those things where....

You have a lot of energy and enthusiasm at first, and then by day three of your consecutive final exams, you're tired and stuff?

Whatever they're called, I'm about to die of exhaustion.

Today, the unimaginable happened.

My sister called me a "Jew".

This all happened when my family was talking about the ethnicity of one student she was tutoring. They couldn't figure out which ethnicity. They weren't even close. One said she was some kind of Russian, while another said she was more middle-eastern / Egypt kind of whatever. It was then that my sister called me a Jew.

I was confused. Why am I a Jew?

I asked her, and her reasoning is this: "Its what other people will say you are, just like how we can't tell what she is."
Now, I don't know why I was the verbal target, since I didn't even participate in the ethnicity discussion. Also, I'm the most "Jewish" of the whole family according to her. I can be "indistinguishable" from foreigners. Now, I don't know why my non-racist sister could make such heinous remarks... even saying that I'm a jew. Disgusting.

Exam wasn't too difficult.

Probably ~80%.

Seriously though, my plan right now is to continue spending today studying Math 255, which is my exam on Tuesday. I'll be spending some time Monday Night and Tuesday morning for that as well. Sunday is dedicated to Earth and Ocean Science: Introduction to Mineralogy and Petrology. That class makes me sad. I'm hoping that I'll end up passing it. The problem is that its just uber memorization, and I can't really do that.
