So, that story wasn't really happy.

I find it most interesting that originally, the story was going to be about how the talking pumpkin got what it wished, which turned out to be a horrible fate with its organs and guts scooped out. Then, as I continued writing the story, it got more and more weird and dark. I just couldn't not continue that way.
